Web 2.0 tool Smackdown

My Web 2.0 smackdown tool will be on Facebook. I started using Facebook as a way to connect to friends and family. Once your account has been set up, you can invite “friends”, send requests to join private groups or like a site. Facebook also has a lot of functionality. There is an endless amount of public and private sites, this is a job search, videos and instant messaging.

Facebook can be set up to send notifications. I receive updates from businesses that I enjoy frequenting, personal areas of interest updates from Stockton University. The groups that I’ve chosen to join at Stockton are as follows: Stockton University Transfer Students, The Wellness Center at Stockton University, Stockton Class of 2020, and Noyes Art Garage at Stockton University. Stockton offers a lot of varying groups.

Today, I received a notification of a Terrain Run. I created a team of 5, my close friends and family, and will be participating in August. I can search for recipes so I can nutritionally prepare food for my training process. The team can set up a group chat for coaching, mentoring or share training tips. Once the run has been completed, I can share my memories with my “friends”.

The Jobs on Facebook can be catered to your desired work radius, job type and industry. You are also able to enter a description of your search. There are million and one ways to utilize Facebook. It certainly is worth the exploration.
