Social Media Etiquette

Due to the recent unfortunate events in New Zealand, my Social Media Etiquette blog is on PewDiePie.  PewDiePie is a Youtuber with over 91 million subscribers, a net worth of over 20 million dollars and has earned since 2014 over 65 million dollars on YouTube.  PewDiePie, who is not new to controversy, once again was recently brought into the spotlight. On March 14 th  New Zealand had one of it is the country's largest massacre. 50 people were killed and 50 more injured at two mosques. Disturbingly, the shooter live-streamed this horrific event. During his live stream, he stated, "“Remember, lads, subscribe to PewDiePie.” This is about a previous meme created by PewDiePie. PewDiePie responded, “J ust heard news of the devastating reports from New Zealand Christchurch. I feel absolutely sickened having my name uttered by this person. Web 2.0 tool Smackdown

My Web 2.0 smackdown tool will be on Facebook. I started using Facebook as a way to connect to friends and family. Once your account has been set up, you can invite “friends”, send requests to join private groups or like a site. Facebook also has a lot of functionality. There is an endless amount of public and private sites, this is a job search, videos and instant messaging.   Facebook can be set up to send notifications. I receive updates from businesses that I enjoy frequenting, personal areas of interest updates from Stockton University. The groups that I’ve chosen to join at Stockton are as follows: Stockton University Transfer Students, The Wellness Center at Stockton University, Stockton Class of 2020, and Noyes Art Garage at Stockton University.
