Chapter 2: Developing a Connected Learning Model

Chapter 2, Developing a Connected Learning Model, describes the importance of a professional learning community. The connectivity of this community increases knowledge, shared resources, and heightened communication to a global scale. The three prongs of connected learning communities follow the outline: method, purpose, structure and focus.  The imperatives within this outline sustain the professional infrastructure.  The interjection of digital communication within the professional environment has grown expediential bringing the cultivation of diversity within the work environment. Expanding the professional network  to including diversity of experience and thought can lead to the innovative changes. Cross culture and shared resources allow the professional to experience variety of untapped resource bases. New ideas, learning methodologies and intertwined goals can be established through this seemingly simplistic shared venue. There is strength in numbers...
